What is Hair Restoration? (main hair
restoration information)
Hair restoration is the process of transplanting hair follicles from one area
of the scalp to another. Hairs from the back of the head are most often used
as this area has the highest number of DHT-resistant follicles available. The
donor area, when done properly, should not have excessive scaring and should
not be detectable without inspection.
What are Follicular Units?
Follicular unit transplantation is the key to realizing a completely natural
look and to having a high survival rate of the transplanted grafts. By transplanting
follicles in groups of 1-4 a natural pattern can be acheived.
Can Female Hair Loss be Treated? (see female
hair loss articles)
Female baldness as well as male
pattern baldness are treatable with restorative hair transplant procedures.
Hair loss in women
is common and can be attributed to natural, temporary causes as well as permanant
types. More information can be found at www.drpistone.com.
