BUSINESS INFORMATION

main business goal of Web site -- This is a sponsored-site we hope will soon be self-sufficient. It is intended to be a free access interactive source of information for Web marketers.

in what sense is this site a success? -- We have received very kind e-mail testimonials from visitors since our first issue. We've won several of the cool site of the day/week awards. Our traffic is up to between 15,000 to 20,000 individual accesses per month.

to what do you attribute your success? -- Quality, opinionated editorial. Also to the constructive site critiques we publish. We don't just say "I >liked that" or "I hated that." We outline why and provide suggestions and advice to help improve the site reviewed.

nature of content -- We provide in-depth critiques of six web sites per month. 10 second surveys with ongoing analysis published each month. You Rate It evaluation checklists that let visitors challenge our reviews using the same criteria we use to evaluate sites. Cover stories focusing on online marketing concerns and business tools.

target audience -- Marketers, Webmeisters, Entreprenuers.

AGONY & ECSTASY

biggest headache faced -- Obviously the biggest challenges is getting all of the editorial written and scripted each month.

most gratifying moment -- When we get e-mail praise from folks saying they've added our site to their list of bookmarks. Also when we get feedback from folks working on the sites we've reviewed.

wish list (what you want to do to make your site even more successful, and what you need for that) -- Time. Success (and consistent site traffic) isn't accomplished over night. It will take time for people to become aware of us and to get in the habit of dropping by at least once a month. Sponsors. We've just been joined by our first sponsor. Their financial contribution helps defray our costs and helps keep us motivated.
