Letter from Prince Andre Orbeliani (nephew of Alexander Bulatovich) to Richard Seltzer, March 9, 1981

I am sorry.  I could not locate even one photograph of my uncle in my Mother's records.  The only thing I could do is to give the book of Mr. Katsnelson to a local photographer who will make a print.  I trust this man as I had very artistic work done by him on other occasions.  I cannot tell you the cost by now.

I am sending you heere enclosed a book about one of my ancesteors -- Sulkhan Saba Orbeliani.  So you may know something about the Orbeliani family which had many writers in its ranks.

I try to follow the custom and am now ready to publish a book where Canada and Mining will be the background.  Will it be ever printed is another question, although I have some promises.

[The book referred to above is "Puteshestviye v Evropu" (Trip to Europe, in Russian) by Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani, who lived 1658-1725.  I have a xerox copy.  The original of that xerox was printed January 10, 1969; 100,000 copies; selling for 51 kopecks; Publishing House (Izdatel'stvo) "Merani" in Tbilisi, Georgia (at 42 Rustaveli Prospect).  I am reluctant to post it on the Web because of possible copyright issues.]
